Arianna Giorgi

Program & Academic Coordinator, Professor

Born in Siena, Italy, Arianna has always been exposed to multiculturalism and multilingualism since she was a child. Her interest in languages led her to attend the “Liceo Linguistico Monna Agnese” in Siena where she was able to learn French, German, English and Spanish and from which she graduated with honors in 2015.

In 2013, while still in high school, she had a six-month study abroad experience in Argentina through AFS Intercultural Programs. It is thanks to this first study abroad experience but also to the frequent opportunities to travel and accompany her parents on business trips during her childhood, that she developed a high level of multilingual competence. This along with her strong interest for socio-cultural phenomena, brought her to go to University abroad. In September 2015, she began her Bachelor in Sociology and Anthropology at the Université Libre de Bruxelles, where she graduated in 2018 “with great distinction”.

While in Brussels, she contributed to the development of our programs in Belgium. Since 2022, she’s also been teaching Intercultural Dialogue, Democracy and Global Citizenship through Reflection.

Arianna is currently doing a PhD in Sociology at the Université du Québec à Montréal.
