What a long, strange trip it has been indeed.  We can’t say that things are really back to “normal” just yet.  However, after months of wondering when we’d be able to welcome students to Siena, the wait is finally over.

Three days ago we welcomed our first student to SIS since the outbreak of the COVID-19 Pandemic.  Matthew (Matty) Bickman is from L.A. but he attends university at NYU.  As far as we know, Matty is the only American study abroad student in S

iena right now!   He decided to pursue this adventure with SIS Intercultural Study Abroad through our partner SAI Programs because he felt like he was just wasting precious time attending classes online while the world outside was waiting to be discovered.  Of course, we have taken every precaution possible to ensure everyone’s safety while still guaranteeing an incredible and enriching experience.

We aren’t the only ones excited to get back to work.  The locals are also so pleased that students are enjoying their city once more that RadioSienaTV came to interview Matty this morning!
